Curricula
In collaboration with a local school district and several community organizations, we developed three curricula aligned with the Green New Deal. Each program is thoughtfully designed to engage students in critical conversations about climate change and social justice. At the center of all three is our interactive Climate Justice Board Game, seamlessly integrated into the learning experience. Climate Justice: Hope and Action for Newcomers
Grade Levels: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12thDuration: 1 year (2 semesters)
Summary:Designed for newcomers, this student-led course explores climate change and justice through science-based projects. Students develop advocacy skills, create civic action projects, and build partnerships between schools and their communities. Shadowing opportunities in green job sectors and local government deepen students’ understanding of climate resilience and strengthen their community connections.

Climate Literacy for Environmental Action and Resilience (CLEAR)

Summary:
This year-long high school course explores Climate Literacy through interdisciplinary, project-based learning across science, math, language arts, social studies, health, and engineering. Students will build an understanding of Earth’s climate system, learn to assess credible climate information, communicate effectively about climate change, and make informed decisions about actions that impact the climate.
