Predicted Outcome Board Games are designed to help students learn new concepts by simulating real-world ecological scenarios. These games guide students through natural situations, highlighting interactions between different organisms. Winners are determined by predicting which organisms would dominate based on real-world outcomes. The games also strengthen communication skills through structured group discussions and collaborative decision-making.

This forest ecology board game and lesson plan use discussion-based learning to help students understand the impacts of human activity and invasive species on forest ecosystems. Intended learners: 9th-12th grade
This ocean ecology board game and lesson plan use discussion-based learning to help students understand the impacts of human activity and invasive species on ocean ecosystems. This three-day mini-unit fosters critical thinking as students explore the role of native and keystone species in maintaining a balanced ecosystem, and how humans can support native species in managing invasive species. Intended learners: 5th-8th grade
This ocean acidification board game and lesson plan use discussion-based learning to help students explore the harmful effects of excessive carbon dioxide on the ocean. In this three-day mini-unit, students apply critical thinking skills as they investigate how human activities contribute to ocean acidification and examine its direct and indirect impacts on marine ecosystems. Intended learners: 9th-12th grade
